BloodLust is a body safe personal lubricant, not fake blood. It is tinted to create a dark vampire style burgundy look, but because it is a thick glossy lubricant, it will never behave or appear exactly like theatrical stage blood.
When a lubricant spreads or thins at the edges, light passes through it. That can make the outer edges look lighter or warmer on camera or on certain screens.
The true color is seen in the thicker center of the gel.
